Our Beginner/Intermediate breaking class is designed for both beginners with little or no experience and intermediate breakers that have experience dancing. We use our very own proprietary curriculum to teach the basic and intermediate concepts and moves of breaking. We focus on learning moves to express yourself through dance, building confidence and developing a positive environment through helping one another all the while having a blast!
Once students have completed the beginners curriculum they move on to a more advanced curriculum that challenges them to learn new moves and concepts while mastering the ones they have already learned. Once they have mastered the foundations of the dance they will have an opportunity to audition to be a part of our performance group.
Our program is different from a typical class in that we give students an expansive teaching of the dance. Students receive access to our curriculum, videos outlining every move we teach at WeBreak, an opportunity to join us on a field trip to a breakdance competition, and an opportunity to be a part of our end the session recital!
Things Students Will Learn
- Beginning/Intermediate Breaking Moves
- How to battle
- 3 Parts of Breaking
- How to dance in a cypher by yourself (dance circle)
- How to create your own moves
- The importance of practicing
Much much more!
